Summer 2026 Fun

I can’t believe how fast this year is going and I see summer rapidly approaching and am wondering how it will turn out. While I don’t have any travel plans, my friend Margo thought that another trip to Drummond Island was a possibility. Despite the lack of travel plans, I managed to add some fun activities such as 4th of July fireworks with my stepbrother, his wife and friends. Later in the month, I might attend the Art Fair and maybe even a movie or two at the Michigan or State Theater.
I now have a nice routine going; after breakfast I listen to the radio while I do a cleaning activity such as cleaning my bathroom or cleaning the burners on my stove so that my apartment will stay in mint condition. Then, I watch news or read a book or magazine or do a job search in the afternoon. Then, I may take a nap and then follow with a nice walk or go swimming. I went for a swim in the pool on Monday and it felt wonderful!
But by far, the crowning glory for summer 2026 will be my new hearing aid from Costco! I had another hearing evaluation, and the results seemed worse than the one I had last fall at Michigan Medicine. I’ll be fitted very soon with a brand-new hearing aid for my left ear. I’ll be writing about the hearing aid in future blogs, I can’t wait to find out how this works!
